Alcohol Involvement Suspected In Fatal Crash on The California I-5

By Crows Landing in California a Sacramento man has died in a fatal car accident that the California Highway Patrol suspects involves drinking and driving says an article I read this morning.. Another man was also injured in the accident that happened on Wednesday night. The CHP reports that it was a solo crash and occurred around 7:20 PM in the evening. it was on the southbound side of Interstate 5 just north of Stuhr Road.

According to witnesses the driver of a GMC pickup was not only driving fast but was swerving in and out of lanes. The driver made a fast right turn and lost control of his vehicle and rolled several times. The driver and passenger were not wearing their seat belts and were both ejected from the truck. The passenger died at the scene and the driver was in critical condition and later arrested because CHP determined that Alcohol was a factor in his reckless driving.

Luckily no other vehicles were involved in the crash which could have easily been the case. Also, with that new law coming into tact and the driver does not go to jail at they will require the driver use the breathalyzer ignition system if he wants to ever drive again. Having been a Los Angeles Personal Injury Lawyer for many years I know this accident could have been much worse than it was and I give me condolences to the deceased.
