Several news outlets have been reporting that an accident involving a horse happened some time around 8:53 p.m. on Monday. A Honda Civic was driving on Washington Street when it hit a horse just before Benton Road.
The accident took place in French Valley and according to the California Highway Patrol, they weren’t quite sure about who the horse belonged to. The authorities claim that the accident made things very messy and blocked the northbound lane on Washington Avenue.
The sources reporting the accident didn’t make it clear whether the horse was crossing the road and how the accident came to be. It’s still unclear if the driver who hit the animal was harmed in anyway.
Authorities allegedly struggled to find an animal service agency to remove the animal from the road.
