According to news sources, two people were killed and three people sent to the hospital in an accident Monday that involved a two-vehicle collision on Highway 32.
An 18-year-old woman driving a 1993 Toyota traveling eastbound on Highway 32 reportedly made a sharp turn as another vehicle traveling westbound on the roadway was approaching, the California Highway Patrol said. The Toyota then crossed over the shoulder when the driver reportedly over-corrected and caused the vehicle to veer onto the westbound lane where it collided with the approaching vehicle.
The incident left the driver of the Toyota as well as an 88-year-old woman passenger in the other vehicle dead at the scene of the crash. A passenger in the Toyota was transported to an area hospital with major injuries while two passengers in the other vehicle were taken to a hospital after sustaining minor injuries.
